Our Mission

BGI Holdings LLC exists to close the wealth gap by building Black women into powerful real estate investors, developers, and housing leaders. Through education, asset acquisition, and the development of workforce, supportive, and diaspora housing, we create generational cash flow, dignified housing access for underserved populations, and a permanent infrastructure of Black-women-owned real estate wealth.

Meet the Founder

Lola Thompson

Lola Thompson is a veteran real estate entrepreneur and educator with 37 years in the industry, having started her career as a licensed real estate agent in New York. In 2006, she co-founded Learn Real Estate Investing (LRE) 1-on-1, personally training more than 500 students directly and reaching over 2,000 through her programs.

Lola built Black Girl Investor from that same foundation — teaching from the battlefield, not the classroom. Today, BGI combines real-world investment strategy with modern tools and technology, giving Black women a direct path to real estate wealth without the gatekeeping.

She is also the creator of Synergistic Pathways Consulting and its proprietary RUN Principle (Rapport → Understanding → Negotiation) — the relationship-based methodology woven into everything BGI teaches.
